In his role as the Co-Executive Sponsor of VOICE, Centrica’s ethnicity network, Cassim has worked to contextualize diversity data, believing that a data-driven approach is critical to understanding how colleagues are represented across the business and putting in place interventions that will materially shift the dial. To this end Cassim advocated Centrica’s #CountMeIn campaign, an initiative to improve colleague preparedness to share diversity information across the business. In order to improve senior leadership diversity at the firm, Cassim has invested heavily in generating a strong talent pipeline, successfully improving representation in the Energy Marketing & Trading graduate program in recent years. Speaking openly about his experiences to external organizations Staffing Match and Eight Wealth Management as a means of supporting knowledge sharing and best practices, and taking part in the cross-company mentoring program Mission INCLUDE, are other ways Cassim demonstrates his commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion.
