Following the 2020 global social events, Chika provided counsel to the CEO and organisation on external and internal comms, as well as speaking at a whole organization global live stream. She proposed and led calls for all-staff conversations and closed calls with Black colleagues to help them through the trauma. In developing the Black Professionals Network as a subset of the BAME network, Chika added a louder voice to the organization and saw the confidence of the group growing visibly as a result. She also provided her input on both the Aviva Black Action Plan and the Aviva Black History Month arrangements, and continues supporting initiatives such as anti-racist training and reverse mentoring. Outside Aviva, Chika has been engaged in multiple initiatives and education and discussion sessions in the insurance sector and the actuarial profession to promote and support Black talent and inclusion.
