As the Executive sponsor for the Race and Ethnicity colleague network Jason leads the agenda on race inclusion at the most senior level within the organisation. Visibly role modelling allyship he works to create a safe, supportive, and connected space which colleagues can feel proud to be part of and a place where they can get on. Through sponsoring the Diverse Talent Community initiative, Jason has cemented his commitment to accelerate change through targeted interventions ensuring increased ethnically diverse representation across all levels at Tesco. 81% of ethnically diverse colleagues agree they have had the “opportunity to learn and develop over the last year” 9% increase year on year. Jason continues to steer conversations with the wider Executive Committee to ensure Black inclusion is discussed at board level providing updates on our Black Action Plan which sets to bring about fair and equitable change for the Black community.
