Minal Mehta drives diversity and inclusion, internally at IBM and externally in the music industry. At IBM, she promotes diversity in tech, reaching upwards of 40,000 employees. She is a core team member of both the IBM iX Diversity Council and the IBM BAME employee resource group, sharing her career journey to inspire, support and guide BAME youth on their career paths. Recently, she organized her IBM team to represent the school career event Your Future, Your Ambition, where IBM held a director’s box incorporating Design Thinking Workshops for over 1000 students, showcasing IBM’s work with NASA. She was also part of a global initiative, led by 48in48, aiming to build 48 non-profit websites in 48 hours. Her current focus is working on launching her app that uses AI to enhance neurologic music therapy, after seeing first-hand the power music can play in supporting a patient’s needs.
